I would recommend only planting melons and squash type of plants for one season. After a few seasons the squash bug will come and stay. The eggs last through the winter. I’m not sure how long they stay? You can plant basil and tomatoes and beets and peppers and the squash bugs won’t eat them.
Beet greens are the only greens that grow well at 110 F. At least without a hoop or green house.
